A properly stocked first-aid box must be readily accessible; on the UK model adopted by the Act, where more than 150 persons are employed a person trained in first-aid treatment must be in charge of the box and available during working hours.

The Act does not prescribe a delivery mode; workplace first-aid training combining online theory with a practical skills assessment is accepted.
